February Favorites and Hate Its

Tarte FRXXXTION Stick ($22)
Recently, I have been getting way more into skin care. I used to neglect my skin, and now I realize since I wear so much makeup, I have to take care of it. Since it’s winter, too, my skin hasn’t been the best either. This Tarte stick is PERFECT. It’s a three-in-one so you can use it as a mask, exfoliator, and cleanser. Since it is in a stick form, it's very easy to apply. I mainly use it as an exfoliator, but using it as a mask is a really good option too. Overall, I’m really loving this product.

Vaseline Pink Bubbly Lip Balm Tin (around $3)
This is a bit of a weird favorite, but I’m obsessed with this lip balm. It’s both comfortable and hydrating. I wear a lot of drying liquid lipsticks, and especially in the winter, my lips get cracked. This product helps soften my lips and get rid of the cracks. Also, a lot of lip balms and treatments can be very minty, which tends to irritate my lips a bit. This one is a perfect subtle smell and taste, and it feels really good.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer ($24)
If you are at all interested in the beauty world, you have most likely heard of this concealer everyone is obsessed with. Since it was sold out for the longest time, it took me a long time to try it. At first, I wasn’t a fan of it, since I had bought the wrong shade. I repurchased it in a lighter shade, and I love it now. It’s perfect for concealing your under eyes. It’s really thick but blends out like a dream. The doe foot applicator is very big, which makes it easier to apply the product under the eyes. Overall, the hype surrounding this product is well worth it.

Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick ($5)
This liquid lipstick is everything, and for the price, it is amazing. This product has really nice pigment, though with some shades you need to apply more than one coat to really get an opaque finish. These feel very comfortable on the lips, and not at all drying. They take a bit longer to dry, but once they do, they’re beautiful. These are drugstore products, too, so that’s an added bonus if you don’t want to spend $20+ on a lipstick.

Hate Its:

RCMA No Color Powder ($12)
This product is ridiculously popular in the YouTube world. I finally got my hands on it, and I’m extremely disappointed. I have oily skin, and maybe that’s why I don’t like it, but it isn't good on my skin whatsoever. When I set my under eyes with it, the white color stays, and it cakes up on my skin. Baking with it doesn’t work for me either. The packaging is terrible too! This product disappointed me a lot because the price is so good since my favorite Laura Mercier powder is THREE TIMES as much as this, but it’s an amazing powder. Even though this powder didn’t work for me, you would most likely love this if you have dry skin.

Pur-Lisse Blue Lotus 5-in-1 mud mask + exfoliant ($52)
I received this in my IPSY bag, and I hated this mask. I applied it like any other mask, and I took it off within two minutes of wearing it. It was the worst burning sensation I have ever had while using a mask. I couldn’t get it off my face quick enough. It’s expensive, too, so I would skip this.

Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm ($6)
This is another product that beauty gurus swear by. It is used as a face primer before makeup, and I liked it. Makeup applies really well over it, and it keeps my makeup on ALL DAY. A downside of this product is the packaging and the smell. The packaging is a sort of hard plastic, almost glass bottle. It is very bulky which makes it hard to get the product out. Since it is a men's product, it possesses a very strong aftershave scent. What makes this product a hate for me was the fact that my skin broke out so bad after using it.
