Believe in Fate

If I didn’t love Ed Sheeran, I most likely wouldn’t be writing this right now. It’s true. If I hadn’t been at the Ed Sheeran concert on September 8, 2014, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, I wouldn’t have known Olivia, who created Lithium. We found each other on Instagram just from the crowd and started following each other. We became friends and finally met in person in November of 2015. A month after that meeting, she told me about a project she was working on, which was an online magazine. She began taking applications and submissions for contributors around December, so I decided to write something to send in. I was extremely self-conscious about submitting due to my lack of confidence. She announced the writers who would be a part of Lithium, and I was one of them. I was ecstatic, and since then, I have been in love with Lithium. I never believed in having a chance at something special; I still really don’t that much. But, I believe I was given the chance of a lifetime to be a part of this community and to have gained so many friendships with other contributors. Lithium has allowed me to broaden my writing skills and to be a part of an amazing family. Thank you for taking a chance on me, and for letting me express myself in ways I wasn’t sure I knew how.
