The Way I Stare

Sometimes, when I go to art museums, I become more intrigued by the people visiting the museum than the art itself: the way the man tilts his head as if it helps him concentrate on the painted landscape before him, the way the color of a lady's hat complements the sculpture she is passing, the way the little boy admires the exhibit with young, hopeful eyes. The way you look at art is art.

There is an endless plethora of art on this Earth if only we look hard enough.

Looking at life through the viewfinder of my camera has changed how I look at life through my eyes. Photography has given me the gift of finding art in unexpected places and recognizing beauty when others don't.
