My friend Zoe and I saw it fit to do a shoot at none other than La Tienda Latina, our local Hispanic corner store. This store has been the solution to countless last-minute needs: salt to season dinner, paper plates for a school project, emergency deodorant needs. This store has satisfied my intense cravings for fresh, authentic corn tamales. It's been a place for me to practice Spanish and delve into a culture different from my own.  It's located 2 minutes away from my house. The owner knows me and welcomes me with joy every time I step in. La Tienda Latina embodies the very spirit of community. It's our version of the neighbor who lends you salt or butter when you need it. It's a place where ethnic lines blur and everyone unites under a common ground.
