Dream Girl

I've loved photography ever since I was young. I remember going to the Miley Cyrus concert as a kid and spending more time taking more pictures than watching the show.  When I started taking photography seriously in 2016, I was all about color schemes and cool clothes.  My art seemed pointless.

My New Year’s Resolution this year is to create content that makes me feel the opposite. I want my work to be empowering. In the beginning of January, one of my best friends, Bailey, and I collaborated on projects that resonated with us. We've both been through awful boy experiences that made us feel close to nothing. Learning to love ourselves was important in our current lives, and we wanted to make a project about it. We wanted to glorify self-respect to the point that others would want to too.

This year, my personal revolution has the goal of making myself vulnerable. Photographing such intimacy was terrifying, but it’s what I want my work to be. This won’t be my last project doing so either. By doing this, not only am I hopefully helping others, but I'm definitely helping myself.
