Aquilegia and Happiness

This piece is important to me because, as a photographer, my main goal is to capture emotions through the lens, even if you feel embarrassed or intimidated by the camera. To capture this moment in time was one of the more rare instances. As a viewer, you can tell right away that their emotions were rawyou could feel it through the photo. If the photo makes you feel an emotion just by looking at it, then that's what determines good photography, in my opinion. At a time when we're just finishing up puberty and we're still a little embarrassed to show our feelings, it was heartwarming knowing that I've captured it forever. It's rare that I look at one of my photos and smile every time I see it.
