Barely Teen

A couple weeks ago, I turned nineteen, and it really hit me that this will be my last year as a teenager. There’s this teenage culture that I didn’t really notice until it was almost over. Over the course of six years, I have gone through phases and have looked like so many other people inside and out; I am almost unrecognizable. And that is what is so incredible about being a teen: you get to literally decide who you want to be and just keep going through different phases until you find what’s right. In some ways I did stay the same, but thankfully I’m not the same person I was at 13.
